Alex Chu is a Computer Engineering,
undergraduate student of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at UCI.
He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and became interested in computers at a young age.
He knew that computers would define the way the world functions and wanted to contribute to that technological advancement.
His interest transformed into passion when he engaged in research under Dr. Jean Luc Gaudiot and his research group,
Parallel Systems and Computer Architecture Lab (PASCAL). He has realized that the greatest way
to improve current computer technology is through parallelism and hopes to contribute
as much as he can to a field involving parallelism.
He is a member of the Tau Beta Pi honor society and the Eta Kappa Nu honor society.
He enjoys basketball and video games in his spare time and is expected to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering in June 2011. He hopes to continually learn and contribute to the advance of computers through research in graduate school.
